1. MEETING AREA:
1.1. MEETING AREA BANNER:
1.2. FOLIO VIEWER:
[F] Assign a number to each item (not just documents) in order of their posting and always include it as part of the displayed item title (e.g. in the item display, navigation bar, item references, etc.) COMPLETE
1.2.1. FOLIO VIEWER CONTROL PANEL:
[P][F] In navigation bar: Presently you can click on "Polls", "Documents" etc. and the selected item type displays in the navigation bar but nothing happens in the item display. When item type is clicked in nav bar, item display should probably show just an index of the items of that item type with title "Index of <itemtype>s" COMPLETE
[P][F] In action bar: Presently if you click on one of the actions that creates a new item (New document, New discussion item, etc.), it wipes out any previous item you were creating, viz, you can only have one popup creating an item at a time, and as soon as you start a new one, the one you were working on is lost. This could result in lots of lost work, and seems unnecessary. Better to allow multiple popups creating items to be open simulateneously. Would this create some problem? (3/4/04) COMPLETE
1.2.2. ITEM DISPLAY FRAME:
1.2.2.1. For ITEM INDEX
[P][F] Items should all be numbered, not just documents. Also, sort of documents currently is based on only the first digit, so that document 10 appears in the index before document 2 - this should be fixed. (3/18/04) COMPLETE
1.2.2.2. FOR DOCUMENTS SELECTED FROM NAVBAR:
[F] put it in a "General comments on this straw poll:" list below the question box; place in a "Comments on this straw poll:" section below question box; allow comment insertion for straw polls and place commentrefs here.
[P] CHECK: correct display also when the poll is closed.
1.2.2.3. FOR DECISIONS SELECTED FROM NAV BAR:
[all the same as in section above. Make sure things say "Decision" instead of "Poll" however.
1.2.2.4. For ballot screen
[F] Cancel button (return to vote/poll view)
1.2.2.5. FOR DISCUSSION ITEMS SELECTED FROM NAVBAR:
[N][F] Change comment reference "Discussion item" -> ""New decision" announcement"; remove from question box and place in a "Comments on this discussion item:" section below question box; allow comment insertion for discussion items and place commentrefs here.
1.2.2.6. FOR COMMENT ON ITEM:
[F] Comment on item should work for all items. If selected with item index in the item display, it should allow one to post a global comment (formerly meeting area general comments) in the discussion.
[P] If Post a comment popup is closed without posting, selected space stays red but is unclickable - it should go away and revert to display of document.

need to intercept window.close()... is there such a thing as a window's onClose event handler?? Otherwise just implement a cancel button and hope users use it.
1.2.2.7. FOR REVISE DOCUMENT:
1.2.2.8. FOR NEW DOCUMENT:
1.2.2.9. FOR NEW DISCUSSION ITEM:
1.2.2.10. FOR NEW DECISION:
[N][F] Change "Title of the vote" -> "Decision title"; add explanation analogous to document title explanation for document posting. COMPLETE
[F] Add explanation of question box analogous to that for document prefaces COMPLETE
1.2.2.11. FOR NEW STRAW POLL:
[N][F] Change "Title of the vote" -> "Straw poll title"; add explanation analogous to document title explanation for document posting.
[F] Add explanation of question box analogous to that for document prefaces
DONE: [N] Change "Propositions:" to "Proposition(s):"
1.3. DISCUSSION VIEWER:
1.3.1. DISCUSSION INDEX:
1.3.1.1. DISCUSSION INDEX CONTROL PANEL:
[N] Change "New comment" -> "Add comment"
-
"global"?
[F] "Add comment" should result in query to the user about where they want to place their comment, i.e. bring up popup with options for "Comment on current item", "Respond to current comment", and "Make a global comment". The first option would bring up the "Comment on item" popup corresponding to the item loaded in the item display (with magic spaces highlighted in item display frame); the second option would bring up the respond/reply popup for the currently loaded comment in the comment display; the third would bring up a global comment popup for comments unattached to an item or other comment.
1.3.1.2. COMMENT HEADERS LIST:
[F] Subject and date should be highlighted in a color, rather than plain black font, since they are clickable. Author should be hightlighted in bold version of that color, probably blue. (3/6/04)
