discussion = a set of messages in a meeting area, which may be referenced to a document

discussion viewer = the right half view of a meeting area, through which the discussion is viewed, and consisting of an index frame and a message frame.

documents box (a.k.a. doxbox) = a set of documents in a meeting area, with an associated set of actions.

document viewer = the left half view of a meeting area, through which documents in the document box are viewed and acted upon.

group homepage = an online subsite consisting of meeting areas and defined values for a group's members, events, links, etc.

meeting area = a document-and-discussion [[2]] area linked from a group home page. Meeting areas can be connected as parents, children, or siblings.
