Deme requires a Linux server with Apache, PHP 4.1, and Mysql.

It has been tested on Redhat 9, stock Apache/PHP/Mysql setup: 2.0/4.2/3.23.

Also, .htaccess’s must be turned on by the Apache configuration via the AllowOverride directive in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf or wherever the master apache config file is. .htaccess files are used extensively by Deme.
